Copy Protection Code Wheel

Elvira II uses 3-ply code wheel. When copy protection screen appears, the game show four elements -- a SPELL ICON, a MONSTER, an EMPLOYEE'S TITLE, and a SPELL NAME -- and a text box to type in. The instructions from game manual follows:

  1. First, rotate the outer ring of the codewheel until the Spell Icon lines up with the Monster on the middle ring of the codewheel.
  2. Now rotate the inner ring so the Employee's Title is lined up under the Spell Icon and Monster that you just lined up.
  3. OK, here's where a lot of people mess up. Pay attention now! Now, without moving any of the rings, find the Spell Name on the inner ring.
  4. There is a cut-out window immediately above the Spell Name. In that window is a 4-digit Number.
  5. Use the pointer to press the 4-digit number on the Action Windows number pad.

You'll get three chances to type a correct number. Chumley, If you miss all three times, I will personally punt you out of the studio. 

The Game

Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus is the second game in the Elvira series. The game is a sequel to 1990's Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. It was followed by Waxworks, which can be considered its spiritual sequel. The main character is Elvira's boyfriend, whose mission is to save Elvira, captured by the demon Cerberus who wants to use her magical power for his own aims. The player seeks Elvira in a horror movie studio where the props and movie sets have turned into actual monstrosities, apparently as a result of building the studio on haunted grounds...
