Hello to all,
I just installed the game flashback for windows 7 by running the package as an administrator. the problem is that after installation, I find no entry for Flashback in the start menu.
In the folder "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ OldGames.sk" I find the folder for Flashback, but I do not know how to run the game!
Could someone help me?

Is there any chance of getting the Apple 2gs version of Neuromancer (http://www.oldgames.sk/en/game/neuromancer/) here in a self-run package with Kegs emulator like Bard's Tale 1/2 and Dragon Age are here?

You can get the rom here:

Wizardry 6 Bane of the Cosmic Forge
Starting the game W6 enter Game configuration, delete A: and exit. Ready.
Many gamers do not know where is their save file, namely savegame.dbs Easy.
Under Dos execute the command below
c:\>dir savegame.dbs /s enter
In my case the save file was found in
C:\>users\My user name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramFiles\Oldgames\Wizardry6\C\Bane
I use Win 7. I use some Virtual machine.
Same procedure if You make video clips. ;)
Finding a win 95/98 game
Hello everyone,

I'm searching for an old game which I played on win 95 or 98 like 10 years ago.
A game like this was built in the windows 95 or 98, you were with a spider, and your enemy was a snake. The goal was to outflank with the spider a particular percent of the map. If the snake hit you, you died, if crossed your path behind you, then cut the line and your flankink was unsuccsesful.

So the game that I looking for is just like this, except that there was more types of enemies, I gas you were not with a spider either, but the basic idea was the same. The backgrounds were different colors on other levels. That's what I remember now. I want to find it to my girlfriend it was a dimond for she. You whould make her so happy :)
Please help me.
about importing characters from wizardry 6 to wizardry 7
Congratulations to finishing Wizardry VI.

For importing party to Wiz7, you must have the file "SAVEGAME.DBS" - save from Wiz6 after ending and teleporting party to Enchanted Forest.
Copy "SAVEGAME.DBS" to your Wiz7 directory and rename (change extension) to "SAVEGAME.BCF". In game import dialog check the proper path.
Default path and filename for example:
Directory = C:\DSAVANT\
Filename = SAVEGAME.BCF

The Black Dahlia,Dark Earth,Transarctica,New Adventures of the Time Machine
Thanks so much for all your brilliant work,this is my fav new site.
If i may be so bold i have few requests;

1.Black Dahlia
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/black-dahlia
From the same company who made the Ripper-which was a pain in the ass to run on modern systems until i saw your release.
Game can be found around but it's really hard to run it on XP,could you release a package like Ripper for this one too?

2.Dark Earth
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/dark-earth
One of the greatest games of all time but to my knowledge it's impossible to run on modern systems and game is a really big rarity it would be a great addition here.

3.Transarctica&Starblade
http://www.mobygames.com/game/transarctica
http://www.mobygames.com/game/starblade
2 hidden Silmarils games.

4.New Adventures of the Time Machine
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/new-adventures-of-the-time-machine
There is a 4 page manual available about 'how to run it on modern systems' but i still failed on my both attempts,when it got released game got great reviews so it would be nice to see it here with one of your packages.

Hopefully you have the time to go thru your archives if not still thanks a lot for all your wonderful work don't think it's taken for granted,Take Care.
Character Voices Missing in The Dark Eye
Hello, I finally got The Dark Eye working and wanted to play it since I finally heard about it as well as some old reviews and it looks like a very underrated and very unique games. I was playing the begining and some parts just have a the character sitting there saying nothing, so I looking on youtube and seen there is talking during the scenes but when I'm playing it half of the sound just isn't there. Oldgames.sk provided a self installer as well, so I'm not sure what it would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... I've been dying to play this!
Magic Candle series
Is their any chance of getting this great cRPG series here? It's definetely abandonware, and I found this semi-official website which offers all the manuals/covers/patches/documentation etc:

It would be awesome if we could have simple set-up exe's with all the patches etc installed, apparently the games were quite bugged at release. We already have "Bloodstone" here on oldgames, which is part of the Magic Candle series:

Pretty please?

DosBox and Autohotkey - A short guide

Autohotkey is a program that can intercept inputs (from keyboard, mouse or even
joystick) and send to the OS a different input, on the base of instructions
coded in a script. This is useful for a lot of programs, like word processors,
and it also allows to create keyboard shortcuts, or the use of mouse/joystick
buttons and the mouse wheel, in programs that don't support them, like DosBox.

Ahk can recognize the active window and the script can be made to affect a
single program. You can therefore create a script that binds the mouse wheel or
extra buttons to certain keys if DosBox is the active window. Even better, you
can have different instructions (and different bindings) for most programs that
are executed in DosBox, since Ahk can recognize a window also from its title bar
(where the name of the .EXE launched in DosBox appears).

Once the script has been created, if Ahk is installed and the script is
executed, it will run in the background and it will affect only the kind of
window (that is, the program) that has been secified in the script, without
affecting the rest of the OS.
You can create a script with the notepad, then save it with the .ahk extension
and launch it with Autohotkey installed.

*********************************************

An hotkey has the following syntax:

[hotkey]::
[instruction]
return

Example:

^s::
Send hello

Will write 'hello' if you press Ctrl+s

^s::
Send, {Enter}{Right}{Right}{Enter}

Ctrl+s will correspond to the keys Enter, 2 x right arrow, Enter pressed in
sequence.

In the [hotkey] part you can use these symbols:

! Alt
^ Control
+ Shift
~ When the hotkey fires, its key's native function will not be blocked.
* Wildcard: Fire the hotkey even if extra modifiers are being held down.

Other symbols can be found here:

http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Hotkeys.htm#combo

Here you find a comprehensive list of keys, mouse and joystick buttons that can
be used in Ahk.

http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm

The [instruction] part consists mostly in SendEvent (or Send) commands.
Here special keys must be enclosed in brackets.

Here is a list of special keys used with SendEvent:

http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Send.htm

*************************************

An example of script that can be useful for DosBox:

*************************************

; The script is organized in blocks. Every block that starts with a #ifWinActive
; command will run independently form the others. More than 1 block (even all of
; them, if conditions are met) can run at the same time.

SetTitleMatchMode, 2

;/// this will make Ahk search the string stated in the #ifWinActive lines in
;/// the whole length of the title bar, allowing you to create shortcuts
;/// for nearly all DosBox programs you could want to create them for.

#ifWinActive, ahk_class SDL_app

;/// this block will be active for every program run in DosBox, since it's the
;/// simple identifier for the DosBox window. I bound the key [,] and [.]
;/// to mouse wheel up and down. You can choose the key you want.
;/// It is better to bind keys that aren't commonly used, though, otherwise
;/// they could conflict with keys used by some programs.
;/// After you've bound the keys in the script, you'll have to bind them in
;/// DosBox, with Ctrl+F1 you can launch the keymapper, just choose the key
;/// you want to bind to the wheel, then press 'Add' and move the wheel
;/// when asked to press a key.
