It Came from the Desert je akčná adventúra inšpirovaná klasickými B-čkovými horormi z 50-60-tych rokov. Hra kombinuje značne nelineárne dialógy a niekoľko typov akčných scén typických pre firmu Cinemaware. Dej príbehu je zasadený do Amerického mestečka Lizard Breath v roku 1951 po páde meteoritu. Hráč je v úlohe geológa Grega Bradleyho, ktorý sa pokúša lokalizovať hniezdo obrovských zmutovaných mravcov...
