EA Los Angeles was founded in 1995 as DreamWorks Interactive, a subsidiary of DreamWorks SKG. Also known as EA LA, it is a video game developer.
In 1999, Electronic Arts acquired DreamWorks Interactive from the film studio.
In 2003, it was merged with Westwood Studios (the original creators of the Command & Conquer Series) and Westwood Pacific to create the new Electronic Arts Los Angeles development studios. Soon after many of the staff who were previously working in Westwood Studios came back together to form Petroglyph Games.
