A sequel was developed and made for release in 1990, titled Deliverance. The story was not very different from Stormlord - Bahd had returned to ravish the land (this time in league with the Devil himself), there are fairies to free and monsters to mash all the while avoiding the platform traps. Deliverance fared just as well amongst the games critics.
